A1 Bulgaria EAD (A1BG, historically registered as SPECTRUMNET) — the fixed

network of Bulgaria's A1, part of the A1 Telekom Austria Group and formerly known

as Mobiltel/Mtel. Roughly a million IPv4 addresses across ~100 prefixes.

What it's used for

• Consumer broadband and cable/FTTH access. The rDNS is layered with the brands A1 absorbed on its way to becoming a fixed operator: ip-IP-ADDR.home.megalan.bg on the Megalan FTTH pools and reversed-octet names under blizoo.bg on the former Blizoo cable footprint.
• Business connectivity and hosting on the older Spectrum Net and Orbitel space (spnet.net routers and switches, orbitel.bg, ns1.a1hosting.bg).

Notable

• This is the fixed AS. A1 Bulgaria's mobile network is numbered separately, so reading this AS as a mobile carrier because of the A1 brand gets the kind wrong.
• The inventory is an acquisition archaeology: Spectrum Net (the original holder of the AS name), Orbitel, Megalan and Blizoo all still label their own former address ranges. Most of the consumer space carries no rDNS at all, which is typical for large cable pools.
• Very well connected for a national operator — hundreds of observed BGP neighbours, reflecting a mix of domestic peering and Telekom Austria Group upstreams.
