AS8990 AHRT-AS

AHRT-AS is the network of Antenna Hungária, Hungary's broadcast-transmission and telecoms operator, now held by 4iG Telecommunications Holding Zrt after 4iG acquired the company in 2021.

What it's used for

• Internet access carried over Antenna Hungária's own infrastructure. Large parts of the announced space use generic per-address pool naming of the form NNN-NNN-NNN-NNN.mpool.ahrt.hu, the signature of end-user access pools rather than servers.
• Wholesale and downstream service: several of its prefixes are sub-assigned to small Hungarian regional ISPs, whose own subscriber naming shows up inside AS8990's space (wave-net.hu, orosnet.hu, bodajknet.hu, ons.hu, szivarvanynet.hu).
• Business connectivity: some blocks are PA assignments to named Hungarian companies, with customer-site routers named under as8990.net.

Notable

• Mixed-use ISP space. The bulk of what resolves is end-user access, but a meaningful share is downstream-ISP and business-customer addressing, so an individual address here can be either.
• All of the space is registered directly to the operator (AHRT-MNT), under netnames such as HU-IRISZ- (its long-running ISP brand) and Antenna-Hungaria-. It is a real, self-registered operator, not brokered address space.

Interesting

• Antenna Hungária's core business is terrestrial radio and TV transmission from a national tower network, and some of the sub-assignment records still describe customer sites located at its microwave stations.
