services from its own small data centres.

What it's used for

• Regional connectivity and cloud, aimed mainly at businesses. Opiquad describes a few thousand recurring customers and a few hundred kilometres of fibre, which matches the modest ~4.9k IPv4 addresses this AS announces.

Notable

• The PROMO handle is a fossil. The company grew out of BrianTel, absorbed Promo.it, and only took the Opiquad name in 2021 — the AS handle still carries the acquired brand. Do not read anything into the word "promo".
• The inventory is one legacy 212.78.0.0/19 deaggregated into many /24s, plus a single stray ARIN-range 64.135.208.0/24. Around 37 observed BGP neighbours against a very small address count is a normal profile for an Italian regional operator peering at MIX.

• No PTRs came back on the addresses sampled, so the reverse-DNS evidence that would normally separate business access from consumer eyeball space is simply absent here. The classification leans on the company's own B2B-weighted positioning rather than on observed naming, and is held at low confidence accordingly.
