AS6204 ZET-NET ZET.NET IP Transit

ZET-NET is the IP-transit network of InterKVM Host SRL, a Romanian hosting

company based in Lipova, Arad county. The aut-num describes it plainly as

"ZET.NET IP Transit".

What it's used for

• Selling IP transit and carrying traffic for downstream customers — the registry object publishes a full traffic-engineering community set (prepend, selective-announce, blackhole) of the kind only a transit provider needs.
• Backing the company's own KVM/VPS hosting under the InterKVM brand.
• Announces only about 1,000 IPv4 addresses across a handful of scattered /24s plus a /36 of IPv6 — a small network whose value is in the transit it carries, not the space it holds.

Notable

• Reverse DNS on parts of the space follows a …-cust.zet.net pattern, confirming the addresses are handed to transit customers rather than used purely in-house.
• The prefixes come from more than one RIR's ranges despite the operator being a single small Romanian company — worth knowing if you are reasoning about where the traffic actually lands.

Interesting

• The RIPE record for this number is a modern assignment, not a survival from the 1990s: the low AS number was returned to the free pool and reissued, so it carries no early-internet pedigree despite its size.
