Luxembourg Online S.A. (LOL-AS) — one of Luxembourg's oldest independent

internet providers, founded in the mid-1990s and still operating as a

full-service ISP for homes and small businesses across the Grand Duchy.

What it's used for

• Consumer broadband access. The announced space is dominated by end-user pools: dynamic PPP-style names of the form dyn-IP-ADDR.internet.lu, carrier-grade-NAT pools (cgn01-IP-ADDR.internet.lu, cgn02-…) and cable segments named per town (NNN.catv.esch.lu for Esch-sur-Alzette, catv-petange-IP-ADDR.internet.lu for Pétange).
• Its own service infrastructure sits in the same blocks: nameservers (dns5.online.lu), RADIUS (radius-BCE.online.lu), hosted PBX (pbx4.internet.lu) and content-filtering gateways.

Notable

• A textbook small-country eyeball network. Roughly 24,000 IPv4 addresses but a very high peer count for that size — a national ISP peers widely because almost all of its traffic leaves the country.
• The two domains split cleanly by role: internet.lu carries subscriber access, online.lu carries the company's own servers and platform.

Interesting

• The catv naming is a reminder that Luxembourg Online grew partly by taking over municipal cable-television networks and turning them into broadband access, which is why its address pools are labelled by commune rather than by region or POP.
