NTT-NET-ID-AS is PT. NTT Indonesia, the Indonesian arm of the NTT group, which

operates the Jakarta 2 and Jakarta 3 data-centre campuses and sells colocation,

managed hosting, cloud and network services to enterprises there.

What it's used for

• Serving the customer estate inside NTT's Indonesian facilities: colocation and managed-hosting tenants, cloud on-ramps and the enterprise circuits that terminate in Jakarta.
• RIS sees 19 IPv4 prefixes covering 40,960 addresses plus one IPv6 prefix, 2404:c8::/32. The v4 space is built on two substantial legacy blocks, 119.11.128.0/17 and 202.171.0.0/19, sliced into /18s, /20s and a long tail of /24s. Carving a /17 into individually announced /24s is what an operator does when different customers in different racks need their space steered independently.

Notable

• Hosting and data-centre infrastructure, not a consumer ISP and not a transit carrier. The 29 observed BGP neighbours are the key number. That is an order of magnitude too few for a wholesale transit business (which peers with hundreds to thousands of ASes) but far more than an end-site enterprise, which sees a handful. Two dozen-plus adjacencies is exactly what a data-centre operator accumulates by sitting on an exchange fabric alongside the telcos, ISPs and cloud edges that its tenants want to reach.
• Note the trap in the name. NTT here is the holder, not merely the rDNS. The usual warning is that a PTR under a big carrier's domain proves nothing about ownership, but in this case the registry itself records the NTT group entity, and the space is a distinct Indonesian operation rather than NTT's Global IP Network.
