AS9639 is registered to Artist Company Inc., but that name is recent and the network underneath it is older than the label. The AS was long known as WIDERPLANET-AS-KR, belonging to WiderPlanet, a KOSDAQ-listed Korean ad-tech firm running a big-data DMP and display/mobile advertising platform out of Gangnam. In 2023 WiderPlanet was renamed Artist United after actors Lee Jung-jae and Jung Woo-sung took large stakes in it, and in November 2024 it merged with their talent agency, Artist Company. The registry record followed the corporate paperwork.

Read the routing, not the name. RIS sees 3 IPv4 prefixes carrying 1,024 addresses — a /22 at 103.105.156.0 plus the two /23s that make it up, announced alongside it — one IPv6 prefix, 2402:bcc0::/32, and 1 observed neighbour. A single-homed stub AS with a contiguous /22 and a full /32 of IPv6 is not a talent agency's office network. It is a platform network: a company that owns provider-independent space, runs ad-serving or data infrastructure on it, and took IPv6 seriously enough to get a /32.

That fits the WiderPlanet inheritance precisely. An advertising DMP serves bid responses, tracking pixels and creatives from addresses that publishers, exchanges and partners have to trust and often whitelist, which is a strong reason to hold your own block and your own AS rather than rent one. The /32 IPv6 allocation and the aggregated /22 both point at infrastructure planned as a platform, not accumulated as an office.
