AS9374 (EDION) is held by EDION Corporation, the Japanese consumer-electronics and home-improvement retail chain, which also runs a consumer ISP business. Its internet arm trades as EDION NET, formed by merging the retailer's earlier Enjoy fixed-line service and its KuaL mobile/MVNO service into a single brand.

What it's used for

This is a consumer access network run as a side business by a retailer, and the routing evidence fits that exactly. RIS observes 22 IPv4 prefixes carrying 165,888 addresses, one IPv6 prefix (2402:c200::/32), and only 18 BGP neighbours — a lot of address space handed out to end users, with far too few peers for a wholesale role. Reverse DNS confirms the subscriber mix: names under enjoy.ne.jp carry adsl-west-… DSL customers, while kualnet.jp carries wmx… and wmx2-pvt… entries, the naming used for WiMAX-style wireless subscriber sessions. The prefix list is a patchwork of /18s, /19s and /20s drawn from many different legacy blocks rather than one contiguous allocation, which is what an ISP built by aggregating regional access businesses over time looks like.
