ATSAT is the legacy handle of TAS France SAS, a French hosting and managed-infrastructure operator based in Sophia Antipolis. ATSAT was acquired and renamed TAS France, and the business now trades as Nubevia, a "sovereign" French private-cloud and managed-services provider.

What it's used for

Datacentre and cloud infrastructure, plus the connectivity that goes with it. The company is a registered French electronic-communications operator and runs or occupies facilities in Paris, Lille, Marseille, Aix-en-Provence and Sophia Antipolis. Sampled reverse DNS is all first-party router naming rather than subscriber pools: hsrp-1-th2.tasfrance.net (TeleHouse 2, a Paris carrier hotel) and hsrp-1-mil.tasfrance.net are HSRP gateway addresses, and the old brand survives on as1.atsat.com.

The AS announces around 19,200 addresses over nine IPv4 prefixes plus IPv6, and has roughly 62 observed BGP neighbours. That peering breadth is a hosting network with real interconnection, not a single-homed leaf.

• The handle, the corporate name and the trading brand are three different things: ATSAT (registry), TAS France SAS (legal entity), Nubevia (what the website says today).
• hsrp- prefixes in the rDNS mean the edge is run as redundant router pairs, which is a datacentre-network fingerprint rather than an access-network one.
