AS8375 Telehouse Deutschland GmbH

Telehouse Deutschland GmbH operates the Telehouse colocation campus on

Kleyerstrasse in Frankfurt am Main. It is part of the Japanese carrier KDDI,

whose German arm the company grew out of, and the AS is the network side of that

datacentre business.

What it's used for

• Colocation and datacentre services in Frankfurt, plus the IP connectivity sold alongside the racks. The network sits right next to DE-CIX, which is what makes the Kleyerstrasse site valuable in the first place.
• Corporate connectivity for KDDI's German customer base, historically Japanese companies with European operations.

Notable

• A small AS by address count, a few thousand IPv4 addresses across a handful of prefixes out of 195.82.32.0/19, which is what a colocation operator looks like when most tenants bring their own addresses and their own ASNs.
• Reverse DNS on the infrastructure gives the parentage away directly: routers resolve under kddinet.de, with Frankfurt-Telehouse names of the ffm-th-… form.
• The registry name and the operating brand have drifted apart over the years, and some datasets still card this AS as KDDI Deutschland GmbH. Both refer to the same Frankfurt operation.

• Telehouse's German presence came from buying an existing Frankfurt datacentre business rather than building from scratch, which is why a Japanese carrier ended up holding one of the anchor sites in Germany's main interconnection hub.
