AS8315 ACNBB

The ACNBB handle on this AS is a leftover and it misleads badly: several databases

still card AS8315 as Accenture. The current RIPE holder is WorldStream B.V., a

dedicated-server and infrastructure hosting company in Naaldwijk, Netherlands, which

took the AS over from the Dutch hoster Amsio B.V.

What it's used for

• Dutch hosting. Reverse DNS across the announced space lands on hosting brands, not on an enterprise: argeweb.nl shared-hosting hosts, awcloud.nl VPS records, amsiohosting.net platform nodes and no-reverse-yet.amsio.com placeholders on unassigned addresses.
• Individual customer sites resolve directly inside the ranges, which is what shared-hosting and VPS space looks like: hundreds of unrelated .nl and .com domains on a small number of addresses.
• The network is sizeable for a hoster, roughly 100k IPv4 addresses across about seventy prefixes, with IPv6 alongside.

Notable

• This is not Accenture, and it is not an enterprise network. The ACNBB handle and the stale "Accenture Backbone" naming carried by some datasets should be ignored in favour of the registry object and the reverse DNS, which both say hosting.
• Addresses here geolocate to Dutch datacentres and belong to hosting customers. Do not attribute content found on them to WorldStream itself.

Interesting

• The AS still carries an AS-AMSIO AS-SET from the previous holder. Handles and route objects outlive their owners far longer than the companies do, and this AS is carrying the names of at least two former identities at once.
