AS6774 ASN-BICS

ASN-BICS is the network of Belgacom International Carrier Services SA (BICS),

the Brussels-based international wholesale carrier of the Proximus group. Since

late 2024 BICS has been folded, alongside Telesign and Route Mobile, into the

Proximus Global brand.

What it's used for

• International wholesale carrier infrastructure: voice interconnect, A2P messaging, mobile roaming (IPX/GRX), IoT connectivity and fraud-prevention platforms sold to mobile operators and service providers rather than to end users.
• The announced space is BICS' own platform and interconnect estate, not subscriber pools. Reverse DNS on the core blocks looks like network-213-137-128-0-26.bics.com — infrastructure naming, no eyeball patterns.

Notable

• BICS is a carrier's carrier: its customers are other telcos. It is one of the largest international voice and roaming hubs in the world.
• Distinct from Proximus' Belgian domestic network — 6774 is the international wholesale arm, not the retail broadband/mobile business.
• Proximus took full ownership of BICS in 2021, buying out the MTN and Swisscom stakes.

Interesting

• The RIPE object still carries the historical Belgacom name even though the parent group rebranded to Proximus, a common fossil in long-lived registry records.
