COLOCLUE-AS belongs to Netwerkvereniging Coloclue, a Dutch **non-profit

maintained publicly as a Git repository.

What it's used for

• Colocated servers belonging to members: mail, web, DNS, personal and small business infrastructure. Reverse DNS is a scattering of member-owned domains rather than any provider template, which is exactly what a members' association looks like from the outside.
• The AS buys transit from several Dutch carriers and peers extensively at AMS-IX, NL-IX and other exchanges. Its published peering list runs to hundreds of networks, which is remarkable for an organisation of its size.

Notable

• Server space, but not a commercial host. Addresses here are machines in a datacentre, so the traffic profile is hosting; the operator, however, is a volunteer association and the addresses are assigned to individual members. A single organisational attribution for any given IP is usually wrong.
• Coloclue is well known in the European network-operator community as a place people learn to run real BGP, which is why its RIPE object carries an unusually detailed BGP-community and routing-policy specification.
