AS7721 QC-NET Qin Cloud Networks

QC-NET is Qin Cloud Networks, a small Hong Kong network that presents itself as a cloud operator, publishes a looking glass, and carries a MANRS badge. It is a leaf network: several upstreams, no downstream customers.

What it's used for

• Almost all of its footprint is IPv6. It announces more than a dozen IPv6 prefixes drawn from RIPE, ARIN and APNIC ranges, against a single IPv4 /24.
• The network buys transit from a handful of small providers, including [AS7720](https://asn.ipinfo.app/AS7720), another compact cloud operator — the low-cost BGP transit niche that keeps micro-ASNs routed.
• There is no public reverse DNS on the IPv4 space, so its actual workload cannot be confirmed from rDNS.

Notable

• Its only IPv4 prefix is not its own. The /24 sits inside 44.0.0.0/9 — AMPRNet, the amateur-radio address space administered by Amateur Radio Digital Communications (ARDC). ARIN records the parent block to ARDC, complete with ARDC's own geofeed. Whatever Qin Cloud runs on those addresses, the block's registry lineage is the ham-radio network, not a commercial hosting allocation.
• That single fact means the prefix should not be geolocated or attributed by inference from the 44/8 block's history, and equally that a "44-net means amateur radio" heuristic will misfire here.
• Do not read the low AS number as early-internet pedigree. This is a modern, recently established operator that happens to hold a recycled low number.

Interesting

• The whole IPv4 presence is 256 addresses. An operator this small holding a four-digit AS number, announcing across three RIRs' IPv6 ranges, and routing an amateur-radio /24 is a good illustration of how little the AS number now tells you about a network's age, size or purpose.
