• BroadBand Tower's own infrastructure and lab/test networks — the -LAB in the handle matches the CSLAB-NET netname on part of the space, and the routers resolve as core1.as7530.bbtower.net.
• Hosting some shared service infrastructure, including FTP hosts published under the jpix.ad.jp domain of the JPIX exchange ([AS7527](https://asn.ipinfo.app/AS7527)).

Notable

• Tiny: about 2,048 IPv4 addresses across three prefixes. This is not where BroadBand Tower's commercial data-centre customers live, so don't read the company's size into this AS. Judge it by what it announces, not by the brand.
• rDNS is sparse, which is itself a signal: infrastructure and lab space, not populated customer hosting.

Interesting

• BroadBand Tower grew out of Japan's Internet Research Institute, one of the original backers of JPIX. The FTP hosts carrying a JPIX name in BroadBand Tower address space are a visible remnant of that shared history.
