HOL-GR was Hellas Online, one of Greece's large alternative broadband

providers. The AS is now held by Vodafone-Panafon, Greece's Vodafone operation,

after it absorbed the company.

What it's used for

• Fixed broadband access for Greek homes and businesses: DSL and fibre subscribers, plus the services bundled with them.
• Carrying that consumer traffic to the wider internet through Vodafone's Greek peering and transit.

Notable

• This is eyeball address space: over a million IPv4 addresses, most of them handed to residential customer equipment rather than servers.
• The HOL-GR handle outliving the Hellas Online brand is common in routing data — merging a network is far easier than renaming every registry object.

Interesting

• Greece's broadband market consolidated hard in the 2010s, and this AS is one of the visible seams: an independent challenger's network still routing under its old name inside a global operator.
