ASN-ITNET is ReeVo S.p.A., an Italian cloud and cyber-security provider. The handle is inherited from Itnet, a long-standing Italian data-centre and managed-network operator that ReeVo acquired.

What it's used for

• Cloud, colocation and managed hosting out of ReeVo's own data centres, with additional European sites. Customers are businesses, and ReeVo largely sells through distributors, MSPs and system integrators rather than direct to end users.
• Managed connectivity and security services (SOC, SIEM, backup and disaster recovery) delivered from the same infrastructure.

Notable

• This is a hosting address, so an IP here is far more likely to be a customer's server, VM or managed appliance than a person browsing the web.
• The network is a real infrastructure operator with its own transit and peering, not a reseller riding on someone else's cloud.

Interesting

• The ITNET handle survived the corporate change, which is common for legacy ASNs: the routing-registry name is often the oldest surviving trace of a company that no longer exists under that brand.
