AS3212 TELEMACH Broadband Access & Carrier Services

TELEMACH is Telemach Slovenija, one of Slovenia's largest broadband and cable

operators, part of the regional United Group. The RIPE object is described as

"Broadband Access & Carrier Services".

What it's used for

• Consumer fixed broadband — cable and fibre access for homes across Slovenia, bundled with TV and telephony.
• Carrier and business services, including transit for a long list of Slovenian and Austrian downstream networks recorded in the ASN's routing policy.

Notable

• This is an eyeball network: roughly 350,000 IPv4 addresses, most of them ending up on subscriber CPE rather than servers, so the space geolocates to residential Slovenia.
• The aut-num object carries an unusually long peering manifest naming dozens of Slovenian and Central European networks — banks, utilities, ministries, universities — a snapshot of who Telemach exchanges traffic with.

Interesting

• Telemach's neighbours in AS space are a cluster of European carriers from the same era; the low number reflects an early RIPE-region allocation to the Slovenian operator lineage that became Telemach.
