AIRSTREAMCOMM-NET is Airstream Communications, LLC, the shared internet network of a consortium of roughly 28 independent Wisconsin telephone companies and cooperatives — Baldwin Lightstream, Amery, Amherst, Coon Valley-Farmers, Citizens Connected, Vernon Communications Coop and many others. Airstream is the joint upstream those member companies route through.

The registrant list looks scattered at first glance and is nothing of the sort: the prefixes are registered to the member companies themselves — Coon Valley-Farmers Telephone, Amherst Telephone, Amery Telephone, Baldwin Telecom, Ntera — while Airstream announces them. These are not unrelated third parties; they are the co-owners of the network doing the announcing, which is what a telco consortium looks like in the registries.

Reverse DNS confirms what the space carries, and it is unambiguous: dsl-, dhcp-, pppoe, cable, dynamic and calix hostnames under airstreamcomm.net, mwt.net and citizens-connected.net, named per town — Coon Valley, LaValle, Amery, Baldwin, New Richmond, Phillips. This is subscriber access space, delivered over DSL, cable and fibre.
