One prefix is registered to WHOI under the netblock handle KNORRNET — 192.147.41.0/24. R/V Knorr was WHOI's long-serving research vessel, best known as the ship from which the wreck of the Titanic was located in 1985. A /24 named for a ship is a good reminder that an oceanographic institution's network extends past the shoreline: shipboard and expedition networks need routable address space too, and the naming outlives the hull.
