AS10678 TRENDS-NET

TRENDS-NET is held by a Canadian organisation registered simply as @trends.ca. The ASN was allocated through ARIN, which serves Canada as well as the United States, in the late 1990s, and the holder has kept it ever since. Beyond the name and the routing, there is little public trace of the company, so this card stays deliberately thin.

What it's used for

The AS announces two IPv4 prefixes, 206.130.183.0/24 and 216.126.88.0/24, totalling 512 addresses, no IPv6, and RIS sees a single observed neighbour. That makes it a single-homed stub: one upstream, no transit provided to anyone, at the very edge of the routing table.

Public domain-to-IP aggregation shows a couple of dozen domain names resolving into these two /24s, spread over a handful of addresses. Several sites per address, on a network this small, is the shape of modest shared web hosting rather than an enterprise's own estate or any kind of subscriber access pool.

Reverse DNS returned nothing on the four addresses sampled. That is a sample, not a finding, and no inference is built on it here.

The two /24s come from unrelated legacy parents, which is normal accretion for a network that has been around since the 1990s and picked up address space more than once.
