CWWI-AS is registered to Cable & Wireless (Barbados) Limited, part of the Cable & Wireless Communications group that trades across the Caribbean as Flow and now sits under Liberty Latin America (rebranded Liberty Caribbean in 2025). C&W is the incumbent telco in Barbados, selling fixed broadband, TV, telephony and mobile.

Consumer and small-business internet access on the C&W Caribbean network. The AS is a piece of a group backbone rather than a standalone island network, and the address space it announces is used for subscriber access.

This is an eyeball network, and the reverse DNS says so plainly: 5-129-27-72-br1-DYNAMIC-dsl.cwjamaica.com and 133-129-27-72-br1-DYNAMIC-dsl.cwjamaica.com. DYNAMIC and dsl together are subscriber-pool naming — dynamically assigned broadband lines terminating on a DSL aggregation router (br1). Nothing about that shape belongs to servers, backbone links or enterprise circuits.

The routing is small and consumes rather than sells: RIS observes 13 announced IPv4 prefixes carrying 9,472 addresses and only 6 BGP neighbours. A wholesale carrier of any size peers with hundreds of networks; six adjacencies is an access provider hanging off group transit.

Worth being precise about one thing: the sampled PTRs sit under cwjamaica.com, not a Barbados domain. That does not make this a Jamaican network — reverse DNS shows what the space carries, not who holds it. It shows C&W running one shared DNS and access platform across its Caribbean operating companies, with the AS registered to the Barbados entity.
