Notable

This is an enterprise network with an unusually generous allocation. RIS sees

exactly 1 announced IPv4 prefix — 203.226.64.0/18, 16,384 addresses — no

IPv6, and only 2 observed neighbours. The address count on its own could be

mistaken for an ISP; the neighbour count rules that out. Two peers is a dual-homed

corporate edge, whereas any network selling transit or serving eyeballs peers with

tens to hundreds of others. A single, clean /18 announced as one aggregate is also

a registry-assignment signature — one block handed to one organisation — rather

than the scattered accretion you see in a reseller.

The /18 is a relic of an era when a Korean industrial conglomerate could ask

KRNIC for a large block and get it. Doosan's internal estate (plant networks,

engineering workstations, site offices) is numbered inside it, but very little of

it needs to be globally reachable, which is why the AS shows a big prefix and an

otherwise unremarkable edge.

Interesting

The handle still says DoosanHeavy: the company renamed itself Doosan

Enerbility in 2022 to signal a pivot from coal to gas turbines, nuclear and

wind, but the AS handle — like most handles — outlived the rebrand.
