SKTELINK-AS belongs to SK Telink, the SK Telecom subsidiary that launched in

1998 with the 00700 international dialling brand and now also sells

international SMS, internet telephony, satellite maritime communications,

corporate lines, and the SK 7mobile MVNO.

What it's used for

• The company's own telecom service platforms and the address space behind its fixed and value-added services, rather than a general-purpose ISP business.

Notable

The pack shows 47 announced IPv4 prefixes carrying 83,712 addresses — including

three large /18 aggregates (211.173.192.0/18, 211.39.0.0/18,

210.219.64.0/18) — with no IPv6 and five observed BGP neighbours.

Five adjacencies is the number that decides the kind. It is more than a plain

enterprise needs and far fewer than a carrier would have: SK Telink is

multi-homed into several Korean carriers because its voice and messaging

platforms must reach every network well, not because it sells transit onward. A

wholesale carrier sitting on 83,000 addresses would show peers in the hundreds.

Confidence is low on use, deliberately. The obvious guess — that this is SK

7mobile subscriber space — is probably wrong: 7mobile is an MVNO riding SK

Telecom's radio network, so its handsets are far more likely addressed out of the

host operator's pools than out of this AS. The 83k addresses are better read as

SK Telink's own legacy fixed-line and service allocations, dating from its

late-1990s origins, but nothing in the pack independently proves what sits in the

big /18s.
