AS9937 (DELTANET-AS-AP) is held by Delta Networks (Pvt) Ltd, a Karachi, Pakistan internet provider. The -AP in the handle is just the APNIC region suffix and says nothing about the country: the aut-num, the org object ORG-DN1-AP, and the DELTANET-PK inetnum all carry a PK country code and the same Usman Arcade, Block 16, F.B. Area address in Karachi.

What it's used for

Delta Networks is a small local access provider, and the routing reflects that precisely. RIS sees 8 IPv4 prefixes totalling 2,816 addresses and no IPv6 at all. The bulk of it is a contiguous run of /24s out of 180.149.208.0–180.149.223.0 plus one newer APNIC allocation, 103.255.148.0/22, registered as DELTANET-PK. That is roughly 2,800 routable addresses for an entire ISP — a footprint that only works behind carrier-grade NAT, which is the norm for Pakistani broadband operators of this scale.

One observed neighbour settles the role. A single upstream means Delta Networks is a leaf network buying transit from one provider and reselling access downstream. There is no peering business here and no wholesale function; the AS exists so the company can carry its own portable APNIC space across a change of upstream.

• Easy to mistake for the Taiwanese electronics manufacturer of a similar name, or to place in Hong Kong on the strength of the -AP handle. The registry data is unambiguous: this is a Karachi ISP.
• Holds ALLOCATED PORTABLE APNIC space, which is why it needs an ASN at all — portable space is what lets a small ISP keep its addresses when it switches transit provider.
• No IPv6 announced, consistent with a small operator that has not needed to solve address exhaustion any way other than NAT.
