AS9853 RAYNET-AS GORayNet

AS9853 (RAYNET-AS-KR) is held by GORayNet (지오레이넷, trading as RayNet, raynet.co.kr), a small South Korean internet service provider based in the Gasan Digital Complex in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul. It is one of at least three ASNs the company operates, alongside [AS9862](https://asn.ipinfo.app/AS9862) (RAYNET1).

What it's used for

The routing evidence describes a modest, single-homed access provider rather than a carrier. RIS sees 16 IPv4 prefixes totalling 4,096 addresses, all of them individual /24s, with no IPv6 announced at all. The address space is drawn from two KRNIC ranges, 211.238.x and 211.111.x. Most tellingly, only one BGP neighbour is observed: everything this AS reaches, it reaches through a single upstream. A wholesale or transit business would show peering with hundreds of other networks; a network with one upstream and sixteen /24s is buying connectivity, not selling it onward at scale.

That shape is consistent with what RayNet describes itself as doing: selling dedicated internet lines and in-building network service to businesses and office towers, the kind of operator that resells capacity from a larger Korean carrier into tenants and small-business customers. The /24-by-/24 fragmentation of the announcement is typical of space handed out to end customers in small allocations over many years.
