AS9832 ISN-AS-AP ISN, Internet Service Provider

AS9832 (ISN-AS-AP) is held by Information Services Network Ltd (ISN), a Bangladeshi internet service provider that operates under the bangla.net domain and is headquartered in Dhaka. It is one of the country's oldest commercial ISPs and remains an access provider rather than a wholesale carrier.

What it's used for

The network is small and self-contained: RIS sees 42 IPv4 prefixes totalling roughly 9,472 addresses, plus five IPv6 prefixes out of a single 2403:bf80::/32 allocation, and only seven BGP neighbours. That combination is the signature of an access network buying transit rather than selling it. A wholesale carrier moving this much traffic would peer with hundreds of ASes; seven neighbours means ISN takes upstream from a small number of Bangladeshi and regional transit providers and hands the space on to its own customers.

The address space itself is APNIC-era: two contiguous blocks around 203.188.240.0/20 and 180.92.224.0/20, plus a 103.9.132.0/22 from the later APNIC /8s, deaggregated heavily into /21s, /22s and /24s. Sampled reverse DNS resolves under bangla.net (ISN-248.5.bangla.net, ns2.bangla.net), which confirms ISN itself is operating the space rather than leasing it out.
