AS9562 MSU-TH-AP Mahasarakham University

AS9562 (MSU-TH-AP) is registered to Mahasarakham University, a public university in Maha Sarakham province in Thailand's northeastern Isan region. It is the campus network AS of a single institution, not a service provider.

What it's used for

The routing evidence is exactly the shape of a university campus: four IPv4 prefixes totalling 1,024 addresses, all four contiguous /24s out of 202.28.32.0/22, plus a single IPv6 /48 (2001:3c8:a701::/48). The 202.28.0.0/16 range is APNIC space long associated with Thai academic institutions. Only two BGP neighbours are observed, which tells you this is an edge network rather than a carrier: it buys connectivity and originates its own space, and nothing transits through it. A thousand addresses is a small footprint for a university with two campuses and tens of thousands of students, which is the usual sign that the campus runs its user population behind NAT and reserves the public space for servers, mail, web, VPN concentrators and library resources.
