AS9520 DAOHENG-AS-AP DaoHeng Bank

AS9520 (DAOHENG-AS-AP) is registered to Dao Heng Bank, a Hong Kong bank whose name no longer exists in the market: DBS acquired a controlling stake in 2001 and folded Dao Heng, DBS Kwong On and Overseas Trust Bank into DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited in 2003. The AS registration is a survivor of the pre-merger world.

What it's used for

A single-purpose corporate network. RIS sees exactly 1 IPv4 prefix — 202.0.182.0/24, 256 addresses — no IPv6, and 1 observed neighbour. There is nothing ambiguous about that shape: one /24 behind one upstream is a bank's internet edge, sized for public-facing services and remote connectivity, with everything else living on private space and leased lines. It is not a hosting network, not a provider, and carries no customer routes.

The interest here is archaeological rather than operational. Low-numbered ASNs from this era were handed out to any organisation that wanted to multihome, and financial institutions took plenty of them. When those institutions were absorbed, the AS and its /24 usually stayed in the routing table under the acquired entity's name, because renaming a registry object is nobody's priority and re-numbering a live prefix is a real project. That is almost certainly what this is.
