AS9518 JDV-AU-AP JDV Limited

AS9518 (JDV-AU-AP) is registered to JDV Limited, a Perth financial-services company (stockbroking, funds management and corporate advisory) that was later taken over and is no longer a listed entity. The AS and its address space have outlived the brand.

What it's used for

A small enterprise network. RIS sees just 2 IPv4 prefixes — 203.16.28.0/22 and 203.19.16.0/23, 1,536 addresses in total — no IPv6, and 2 observed neighbours. That is a corporate end-site: enough space for a data centre and edge, dual-homed for resilience, with nothing resembling a customer base or a peering estate. The sampled rDNS is entirely infrastructure, not users: 203.16.28.5 and 203.19.17.5 answer as ns2.jdv.com and ns1.jdv.com, the two authoritative nameservers for the old corporate domain, deliberately placed in separate prefixes.

The registry record is the interesting part. The holder name is a company that no longer trades under it, while the current abuse contact on the space points at AUSIEX (Australian Investment Exchange), a share-trading and platform business. In other words the routed inventory is still doing financial-services work in Perth; only the name on the registration is stale.
