ISERVICE-BG-AS is Internet Service Ltd (Интернет Сървис ООД), a regional Bulgarian internet provider based at 36 Pliska Boulevard in Shumen, in the north-east of the country.

What it's used for

• Subscriber access in and around Shumen. The rDNS across its space is first-party iservice.bg naming: generic per-block names of the form 95-158-156.iservice.bg for the bulk of the addresses, with ras62, ras117, ras139 and similar hosts scattered through them — remote access server concentrators, the gear that terminates end-user sessions.
• Its own service machines sit in the same space (ns.iservice.bg).

Notable

• Small and single-homed: roughly 2,500 IPv4 addresses across nine prefixes, with one observed upstream and no downstream networks. This is a local access provider, not a carrier.
• The ras naming is the honest signal here. It marks the access technology used to terminate subscribers, and it is what separates an eyeball network from a business-only provider of the same size.
• The AS is maintained under NOVATEL-MNT, a Bulgarian operator's maintainer object, but the organisation and every contact are Internet Service Ltd's own in Shumen.

Interesting

• Bulgaria's internet market is unusually fragmented, with dozens of small town-and-region providers running their own AS numbers rather than reselling a national incumbent's service. This is one of them.
