AS8784 is held by Odigo SASU, the French cloud contact-centre (CCaaS) company. The AS is much older than the name: it was Prosodie, a French hosting and telecoms operator, which Capgemini bought in 2011 and rebranded Prosodie-Capgemini, then Odigo in 2019; Apax Partners spun it out as a standalone company in 2021.

What it's used for

Running Odigo's own platform and the managed services inherited from Prosodie — hosted IVR, voice and payment platforms, and the contact-centre software itself, which serves several hundred thousand agent seats.

The evidence matches a platform operator rather than an ISP:

• Reverse DNS on the sampled address is eth1-2.scr01.gdr.prosodie.net — a backbone router still named for the pre-acquisition brand, in the operator's own domain. No subscriber-pool naming anywhere.
• Roughly 37,000 IPv4 addresses across 26 prefixes, but only four observed BGP neighbours. A network with lots of address space and almost no adjacencies is consuming transit to run its own services, not selling connectivity.
• The inventory is coherent and self-registered: a large contiguous 83.169.x estate plus 195.46.192.0/19, 212.37.192.0/19, 213.139.96.0/19 and 194.117.208.0/20.

Notable

The AS number and the 193.56.37.0/24 prefix that first appears in RIS date from Prosodie's era as a French internet and voice-hosting provider, well before the SaaS business existed. The old brand survives in the router names.

Handles outlive their holders, and reverse DNS outlives both. prosodie.net names the backbone of a company that has now been sold twice and renamed twice.
