AS8699 FIBERWAVES-AS

Fiberwaves S.A.L (FIBERWAVES-AS) is a Lebanese telecoms and broadcast

technology company — IPTV head-ends, encoders, modulators and channel playout

systems, sold as B2B solutions rather than as a consumer service. The S.A.L is

société anonyme libanaise, a Lebanese company form, not part of the network's

name.

What it's used for

• A single contiguous 185.120.28.0/22, split into four /24 announcements — 1,024 IPv4 addresses in total, no IPv6, and one upstream: Ogero, Lebanon's state-owned incumbent telecom.
• No rDNS is delegated anywhere in the space and there are no downstream networks, so what the addresses actually carry cannot be established from the outside. The likeliest reading, given the company, is its own corporate systems and IPTV platform infrastructure.

Notable

• The low AS number is not early-internet pedigree. Both the AS object and the LB-FIBERWAVES-20151006 allocation were registered in October 2015 — this is a reclaimed two-byte number reissued to a modern holder. Nothing about Fiberwaves predates that.
• The inventory is contiguous, single-RIR and self-registered, so despite the absent rDNS this is not an address-brokering shape: it is one small LIR with one allocation, single-homed to the national carrier.
