absorbed Vodafone Hungary. The single announced prefix carries **Vodafone

Hungary's mobile packet core**.

What it's used for

• Mobile data. All 4,096 addresses sit in one 80.244.96.0/20, and its rDNS is unambiguous: apn-80-244-NNN-NNN.vodafone.hu subscriber pools, legacy gprsNN.vodafone.hu gateways, and a handful of named operator hosts (ns.vodafone.hu, mailsync.vodafone.hu).
• The prefix is registered in the RIPE database as HU-ONE-20011102, maintained by ONE-HU-MNT — the group's own object, not a third party's.

Notable

• A name trap in two directions. Older datasets still label this AS "Invitel Hungary" — Invitel was a fixed-line Hungarian telco, long since merged into Invitech. Reading the AS from that handle would file mobile subscriber space as a fixed enterprise carrier. The rDNS is the honest witness: apn-* means access-point-name, i.e. phones and mobile hotspots.
• One prefix, one BGP neighbour, no IPv6: this is a narrowly-scoped ancillary AS for a mobile gateway range, not the group's main routing identity.
• Addresses here are carrier-grade mobile — expect high address reuse and poor geolocation resolution below the country level.
