AS8659 belongs to the United Nations International Computing Centre (UNICC),

the UN system's shared ICT services provider. Established in 1971 by agreement

between the UN, UNDP and WHO, it runs data centres and managed IT for UN

agencies and other international organisations, headquartered in Geneva.

Notable

• Sampled reverse DNS resolves to fw1.wipo.int — a firewall belonging to the World Intellectual Property Organization. The addresses in this AS are used by UNICC's clients, so a given prefix may front one UN agency rather than UNICC itself.
• Only five observed BGP neighbours: a leaf network buying transit for a handful of hosting sites, not a carrier.

• Classified as government because that is the nearest honest bucket for an intergovernmental organisation, but note the shape: this is a shared services provider, and the space should be attributed to the UN system rather than to any single agency or country.
