TIMICO — now Digital Space Group Limited, a UK managed-services and

business-connectivity provider headquartered in Newark-on-Trent. The Timico

brand was retired in 2021 but survives in the rDNS and the RIPE handle.

What it's used for

• Business internet access and managed IT: fibre and DSL broadband, Ethernet, MPLS, VoIP and hosting sold to corporate and public-sector customers. Around 205,000 IPv4 addresses across ~20 prefixes, with a healthy 30-plus BGP neighbours.
• Customer space is almost uniformly static: IP-DASHED.static.as8607.net and IP-DASHED.static.dsl.as8607.net. There are no dynamic or PPPoE-style pools anywhere in the sampled rDNS — the signature of an ISP that assigns fixed addresses to business sites, not a consumer eyeball network.
• Core infrastructure is named under timico.net (ndc-core1.uk.timico.net, tch-edge.uk.timico.net), including mail, DNS and RADIUS.

Notable

• The address space is a museum of acquired UK ISPs. Timico bought up around nine smaller companies, and each one's rDNS is still live in its old block: newnet.co.uk (with LLU switch and gateway names), power.net.uk, keme.net, twang.net, iuk.net, ukisp.net and sysonline.net.
• Individual customer domains surface directly in the space too — a manufacturer and other named firms resolve on the DSL blocks. That is what a B2B access network looks like from the outside.

Interesting

• no-dns-yet.timico.net appears across an entire /21. It is an honest default: space allocated and routed but not yet handed to a customer.
