Eviny-AS8542 is held by Eviny Fiber AS in Bergen, western Norway. Eviny is the renewable-energy group formerly called BKK, and its fibre arm has traded over the years as BKK Bredbånd, BKK Fiber, BKK Digitek and Eviny Digital. The old brand is still stamped on the addresses: every sampled PTR sits under bkkb.no.

Broadband access across Vestland. The AS announces about 129,000 IPv4 addresses over nine prefixes — a substantial regional eyeball footprint rather than a corporate or hosting network — with roughly seven observed BGP neighbours.

The reverse DNS is reversed-octet end-user naming: 1.85-200-0.bkkb.no, 0.213-153-16.bkkb.no, one hostname per address across whole /16 and /18 blocks. That per-address, sequentially-generated pattern is the fingerprint of a subscriber access network.

Notable

• A Norwegian power utility running the local fibre network is a common pattern (as in Japan), and here it produced a real consumer ISP rather than a purely industrial one.
• The retail side is in motion: Eviny's telecom business has been consolidating with Lyse / Altibox, with Eviny Digital's customers migrating to the Altibox platform and Eviny's own role moving toward pure infrastructure. The addresses may follow that reorganisation over time.
• The AS in Eviny Fiber AS is Norwegian aksjeselskap — a limited company — not "autonomous system".
