SPACE_HELLAS_AS8499 is operated by Space Hellas S.A., an Athens-headquartered

systems integrator and ICT/security solutions provider founded in 1985 and listed

on the Athens Stock Exchange. The AS carries the company's own infrastructure and

the managed services it runs for Greek corporate and public-sector customers.

What it's used for

• Managed network, cloud and security services delivered to enterprise clients, plus Space Hellas's own corporate and NOC infrastructure.
• Hosting of service platforms for customers — observed reverse names include authoritative nameservers and a collaboration/file-sharing host for a customer domain.

Notable

• The whole network sits inside one contiguous early-RIPE block, 195.190.32.0/19, deaggregated into /24s (about 8k addresses). No IPv6 is announced.
• Reverse DNS is sparse and, where present, points at service and nameserver hosts under spacenet.gr — the group's service brand. There are no subscriber pools, so this is an integrator/managed-services network rather than a consumer ISP, despite Space Hellas holding a telecom licence.
• The AS number and the 195.190/19 allocation both date from the early days of RIPE address assignment, consistent with a company that was one of Greece's earliest network operators.
