AS8294 Fornax ZRt

Fornax ZRt is a Hungarian IT company in Budapest, in business since 1991. It

does system integration, software development, application operation and IT

consulting, and is best known domestically for early real-time stock-exchange data

services and for its EVENTUS workflow product.

What it's used for

• The company's own corporate and service network. The AS announces a single provider-independent /24, 193.26.31.0/24, registered directly to Fornax.
• Reverse DNS across that /24 is dense and entirely in-house: mail, Exchange, telephony, VPN and gateway hosts under fornax.hu and fornaxict.hu, alongside sibling group domains such as a-m.hu, ancro.hu and iflow.hu. Names like gw., ipsec., exch., otrs. and project. are corporate IT, not a product.

Notable

• Enterprise infrastructure, not a service provider. There are no subscriber pools, no customer transit and no hosting brand. The /24 is the company's internet edge and the servers behind it.
• A single PI /24 with its own AS number is the classic shape of a technology firm that wanted multihoming and portable addressing rather than a network to sell. The address space should geolocate to Fornax's Budapest offices.
• A few hostnames point at related companies in the Fornax group rather than at Fornax itself, so individual addresses here can belong to a sibling entity.
