AS8226 AM-NIC-AS

AM-NIC-AS is not a network-information centre or registry, despite the

handle. It belongs to Arpinet LLC, an Armenian internet service provider

based in Etchmiadzin that sells fibre broadband and IPTV to households and

businesses in Yerevan and the surrounding regions.

What it's used for

• Consumer and small-business broadband access over fibre (GePON/FTTH), plus an IPTV television service.
• All announced space sits in 109.68.120.0/22 and neighbouring /23–/24s, with reverse DNS of the generic subscriber form ip-109-68-124-1.arpinet.am — one auto-generated PTR per address across the block, which is what an access network's customer pool looks like.

Notable

• Eyeball space. The addresses here terminate on end-user connections in Armenia, primarily in the Armavir and Aragatsotn regions and Yerevan, not on servers or corporate infrastructure.
• A small inventory (under 2,000 addresses) for a consumer ISP, which is normal for an Armenian regional operator with a modest subscriber base and heavy address reuse.
• Name trap: the AM-NIC handle reads like Armenia's NIC. It is an ordinary commercial ISP; the space must not be treated as registry infrastructure.
