AS8211 RABOBANK Rabobank ICT

The corporate Autonomous System of Coöperatieve Rabobank U.A. (RABOBANK),

the Dutch cooperative bank headquartered in Utrecht and one of the largest banks

in the Netherlands. The AS is operated by the bank's own ICT organisation.

What it's used for

• Rabobank's own internet-facing infrastructure: online and mobile banking front-ends, corporate web presence, email, and connectivity for the bank's offices and data centres.
• Everything it announces sits inside a single contiguous range in 145.72/16, which is exactly what an in-house enterprise network looks like: one block, carved into a dozen more-specifics, plus one IPv6 allocation.

Notable

• Enterprise address space, not an ISP. Addresses here belong to the bank itself. They are not sold, leased or assigned to customers, and there are no subscriber pools of any kind.
• Only a few observed BGP neighbours: the bank buys transit from a small number of upstreams rather than peering broadly, the normal posture for a multi-homed financial institution.
• A long-held RIPE-region AS number that still sits with its original kind of holder: a large bank running its own network rather than outsourcing the announcement to a carrier.
