The Venezuelan arm of IFX Networks, a Latin American managed-services provider

selling colocation, cloud, MPLS/SD-WAN connectivity and managed IT across the

region.

What it's used for

• Dedicated internet access, colocation and hosted/cloud workloads for Venezuelan business customers. The core blocks — 190.94.192.0/19 and 181.225.32.0/19 — resolve as IP-ADDR.ifxnw.com.ve and are LACNIC-registered to IFX.
• Corporate connectivity rather than consumer broadband: there are no dynamic or PPPoE-style subscriber pools anywhere in the inventory.

Notable

• An IP in the IFX-registered blocks is a business circuit or a hosted server in Venezuela, not a home user.

Interesting

• The inventory is not homogeneous. Alongside the genuine IFX space, AS8053 also announces several ARIN /22s registered to Rutilance Networks — an IPv4 leasing company at a Dover, Delaware registered-agent address that markets addresses for bulk email and scraping — plus a Cogent-registered /23. These carry no reverse DNS at all and are not IFX's own space. Addresses in those ranges should not be geolocated to IFX or to Venezuela; the operator behind them is whoever leased them.
