TAIHE-NETWORKS is Taihe Networks LLC, a small US-registered network with an address in Lexington, Kentucky. Despite the low AS number, this is a modern holder: ARIN registered the ASN to Taihe in January 2025.

What it's used for

• Very little that can be observed. The AS announces exactly one IPv4 prefix, 23.189.200.0/24, allocated directly to Taihe by ARIN in September 2024, and one IPv6 prefix, 2602:f800::/40.
• It has a single upstream, Free Range Cloud Hosting, no downstream networks and no peers of its own.
• There is no reverse DNS anywhere in the /24 and no hosted domains, so there is no evidence of what the space actually carries.

• The number was reissued, not inherited. AS7837 sits in a range assigned in the late 1990s, but the current registration dates from 2025 and the organisation record from 2024. Nothing about this network is early-internet, and none of the history of the original holder attaches to it.
• With no rDNS, no downstreams and a single /24 behind one upstream, there is no honest way to say whether this is hosting, a private network or dormant space. It is deliberately left unclassified rather than guessed at.

Interesting

• A single /24 and a /40 of IPv6 behind one upstream is roughly the minimum viable BGP presence. Networks in this shape exist for many reasons, some benign and some not, and the routing table alone does not distinguish them.
