Prov.net), a data-centre and connectivity provider based in Providence, Rhode

Island.

What it's used for

• Colocation and private/hybrid cloud infrastructure out of facilities in the Providence and greater Boston areas.
• Direct internet access, IP transit and private Ethernet transport sold to enterprises, service providers and non-profits in southern New England.

Notable

• Despite the low AS number, this is not an early-internet allocation: ARIN registered AS7775 to Irontrust in January 2018 and the org itself in 2018, so the number was reissued to a modern holder. Its address space is a handful of /24-to-/22 ARIN allocations, mostly registered directly to Irontrust.
• One announced /24 is registered to an unrelated third-party organisation, consistent with a colocation customer bringing its own space — so a prefix in this AS is not automatically Irontrust's own.

Interesting

• The company registers in PeeringDB as a content network, but its inventory and facility footprint read as regional colocation plus transit. Where marketing and inventory disagree, the inventory is the better guide.
