Autonomous System 7726 (FITC-AS, for **FedEx Internet Technologies

Corporation) is a corporate network of FedEx**, the global package and

freight carrier, registered to its Collierville, Tennessee campus.

What it's used for

• Carrying FedEx's own enterprise IT: the corporate network, the public web and API estate behind fedex.com, and the back-end systems that drive package tracking, shipping labels, rating and the hand-offs between FedEx's operating companies.
• Announcing a large legacy footprint — around half a million IPv4 addresses, including several early Class B allocations such as 146.18.0.0/16 (1991) and 161.135.0.0/16 (1992) — plus IPv6 out of 2620:1bc::/48-scale blocks.

Notable

• This is an enterprise network, not a service provider. Addresses here are FedEx offices, hubs, sortation facilities, datacentres and corporate systems. Nothing on it is sold as connectivity, so an IP in this range should be read as "a FedEx site or FedEx server", never as a home or a hosting customer.
• The scale is unusual for a non-carrier: half a million addresses is more than many national ISPs hold, a reflection of both an early-1990s allocation era when large blocks were handed to any organisation that asked, and of FedEx's genuinely enormous physical footprint of depots and sorting hubs.

Interesting

• The AS also originates some Latin American IPv6 space, consistent with FedEx operating its own network reach into the regions it serves rather than renting connectivity locally in each one.
