AS7663 FFNET FUJIMIC INC.

FFNET is held by Fuji Nextera Labo Inc., the IT and systems subsidiary of Japan's Fuji Media Holdings / Fuji Sankei group. The handle is a fossil: FFNet was the consumer ISP run by Fuji Television Futurenet, a company FUJIMIC absorbed in 2005 — and FUJIMIC itself became Fuji Nextera Labo in an October 2025 merger.

What it's used for

• Eleven scattered /24 prefixes, all inside 210.167.32.0 – 210.167.63.0, roughly 2,800 addresses. JPNIC records the assignment to the company directly.
• No reverse DNS resolves anywhere in the sampled space. That absence is itself the signal: subscriber networks publish PTRs, corporate and hosted infrastructure very often does not.
• The network carries the group's own systems-integration, IT-infrastructure and web/video production work rather than any retail service.

Notable

• This is an enterprise / corporate IT network, not an ISP. The ISP that gave the AS its handle shut down in 2004; the address space outlived the business it was registered for.

Interesting

• The FFNet ISP had an unusually blue-chip lineage. It grew out of "People", one of Japan's early commercial online services, whose original backers were IBM, Mitsubishi, Hitachi and Toshiba before Fuji Television and FUJIMIC took over. The service was renamed FFNet in 2002 and closed two years later.
• A textbook case of a handle outliving its holder: nothing about FFNET today would tell you it once meant a dial-up provider.
