JASTEL-NETWORK-IDC is JasTel Network Company Limited, the carrier subsidiary of Thailand's Jasmine International (JAS). It sells leased circuits, IP transit, international gateway service and data-centre colocation to businesses.

What it's used for

• Corporate leased-line and transit customers. Reverse DNS across 203.156.0.0/17 and 203.147.0.0/18 follows the pattern N.N.N.N.static-corp.jastel.co.th — explicitly static corporate addressing, with no dynamic or subscriber-style names anywhere.
• Customer networks sit directly in the space under their own names: mail.amway.co.th and a NAT gateway at webster.ac.th (Webster University Thailand) both resolve inside these blocks.
• Internet data centre and colocation, which is what the -IDC in the handle refers to.

Notable

• This is not the Jasmine group's consumer ISP. The eyeball brand is 3BB, on a different ASN. AS7616 carries business circuits and hosted equipment; classifying it as residential from the group name would be wrong.
• JasTel holds a Thai international gateway licence, so a share of this space is genuinely wholesale-carrier infrastructure rather than end-customer addressing.

Interesting

• Jasmine's structure separates the wholesale carrier from the retail ISP quite cleanly, which is unusual: many operators run both on one AS and leave a confusing mix of corporate and subscriber rDNS in the same prefix. Here, the static-corp naming makes the boundary explicit.
