• Legacy internet access: part of the space still carries subscriber pools named pool-IP-ADDR.user.airnet.ne.jp, alongside blocks of sequentially numbered access-server hosts under airnet.ne.jp.

Notable

• A mixed network, which is why it resists a single label. About 16k IPv4 addresses split between hosting infrastructure, customer servers (some resolving to third-party corporate domains) and a residual access-customer pool. Neither "hosting" nor "residential" fully describes it; the hosting side is the larger and the current business.
• Small and regional. The low AS number reflects an early-1990s Japanese ISP cohort, not present-day scale.

Interesting

• The aiomail.jp rDNS is a neat example of the general rule that a network's product is usually visible in its reverse DNS long before it is visible in its registry record: nothing in the RIR data hints that this AS mostly runs a business email service.
