AS6998 BRITEVOICE

BRITEVOICE is the corporate network of Concentrix CVG Brite Voice Systems LLC, the surviving legal entity of Brite Voice Systems inside today's Concentrix, the customer-experience and contact-center outsourcing group. The AS is registered to ARIN at Concentrix's Cincinnati, Ohio address and announces a small, purpose-built block of address space.

What it's used for

Enterprise and service infrastructure for a contact-center technology business: interactive voice response (IVR), voice self-service and network-based enhanced-services platforms, plus the corporate connectivity around them. It is not an ISP and carries no subscriber address space.

Notable

• Announces roughly 4.6k IPv4 addresses across about a dozen prefixes, reached through a pair of tier-1 upstreams. No reverse DNS is published on any of them, which is typical of a closed corporate/platform network rather than a hosting or eyeball one.
• The announced blocks still carry the names of the companies that owned them: a BRITE-NET /16 registered to Brite in 1991, alongside INTERVOICE and INTERVOICE-TX networks. The registrant on all of them has been updated to the current Concentrix entity.

Interesting

The handle is a fossil of three decades of acquisitions. Brite Voice Systems of Wichita, Kansas built voice-processing and audiotex systems, and was merged into Dallas-based InterVoice in 1999 to form InterVoice-Brite. Convergys bought InterVoice in 2008, and Convergys itself was acquired by SYNNEX in 2018 and folded into Concentrix. The AS number, the BRITEVOICE handle and the InterVoice-named prefixes all survived each step intact, which is why a single autonomous system today advertises address space labelled with two companies that no longer exist.
