DATAHOP is the network of Six Degrees Technology Group Limited, a UK managed-services and cloud provider. Datahop began as a London metro network and became the backbone AS of the Six Degrees group.

• Colocation, private cloud and managed hosting for UK business customers, plus the connectivity that fronts it (direct internet access, managed WAN/SD-WAN).
• Around 48 IPv4 and IPv6 prefixes covering roughly 100k addresses, carried across UK and European data-centre sites.

Notable

• Peers publicly at LINX (London and Manchester), LONAP, AMS-IX, DE-CIX and Equinix exchanges — a peering footprint typical of a mid-sized provider network rather than an enterprise.
• The Six Degrees group was assembled from a set of smaller UK hosting and connectivity businesses, with Datahop supplying the underlying network; the DATAHOP handle survives as the fossil of that origin.

Interesting

• Six Degrees has since been acquired by Claranet, another UK managed-services provider, though the ASN remains registered to the Six Degrees entity.
